In recent days, the 2020 Annual Review Meeting forScholarships of International Students was held in the Room111 of the International Exchange Center and participating in the meeting are heads forwork related to international student of 20 colleges,departments and institutes including the International College, College of Agronomy, Foreign Languages Department, Soil and Water Conservation Institute, etc.
Notice on Annual Review of 2020/2021 CSC Scholarships wasinterpreted andthe annual evaluation on scholarship for international students to Northwest A&F University in 2020 was deployed during the meeting.Besides, participants collectively learned about the Chinese Government Scholarship Annual Review Method and requirements of of Chinese Scholarship Council and A&F Chinese Government Scholarship Annual ReviewMeasures and the working procedures.
Due to the impact of the COVID-19 epidemic this year, 120 of the 204 international students who should participate in the annual review have not returned and the International College therefore adjusted the review process, collected in advance the self-evaluation format of the participants and delivered them to respectiveColleges to ensure the review be carried out in an orderly manner.
It is high-lightened in the meeting that the annual evaluation of international students should be conducted effectively and honestly following to the given principles, strictly matching the procedures and timeline. All colleges and departments shall take annual evaluation as the opportunity to follow the training status of international students, promote their academic proceeding, and ensure the quality of international students education whist ensuring the successful completion of the evaluation task by Chinese Scholarship Council.
The annual review, as an important link instudents management and education quality guaranteeing of international students, is a comprehensive study of students’ campus learning, research and daily performance in the previous academic year for theircorresponding colleges (departments, institutes), tutors, instructors, International College, etc. to determinethe continuance, suspension or reinstatement of eligibility for scholarship.
